POST 10 >> ENGLISH LANGUAGE CHALLENGES

When I started to learn about English on the school days, I never would have thought the level that I will reach. But, I also think that the school’s lessons were too boring, all the people sitting around a teacher just listening about “how this word supposed to be pronounced” isn’t the best teaching method. The English classes on university were other thing, I think that write blogs was an amazing thing, also the days we were on the classroom doing work-sheets and interacting constantly with the classmates and the teacher, speaking English each class, because it doesn’t was just looking and writing what was on the board, it was apply English in everything, and it really make us to use our head. I also think that, even if I have reached a high level of English I have to keep practicing, especially on my speaking skills and expand my vocabulary, because it always have delay my progress on the language learning, so I have planned practice every day a little with my sister, who ...

Post 9 >> Changes to my study programme

The first time I saw the curricular program of this career I said that I had to be there no matter how, I was immediately in love with Public Administration and its comprehensive curriculum full of political science, mathematics, economy, investigation. When I came this place for first time, I must recognize that I felt some disappointed about the infrastructure, but well, the EGGP community had already worst places than the current one, even when we are crammed, I really like this building.   On the first semester I had learn from some subjects like, Hipach (history of Chilean institutions), Technologies and information systems (where I have learned about excel), and well so many others, and I love the things the career teach me, but I really hate the stress at the end of semester that the workload cause me, I think it's an important issue to be treated as a community: mental health. Talking about issues, the other one I would like to mention it’s the teaching methods...

POST 8: SUMMER PLANS

I’m really excited because summer is coming! I have so many plans, even when this holiday will be shorter than other years for the sake of our grades and exams (we just have half of January and all February to rest of an exhausting semester). Whatever, everybody is going to beach, to another country, to the north, the south, to the nearest pool, but my first plan to this summer is to go camping on the Scout National Event called Adventure for Raiders (an activity made for young people around 15 - 17 years old) with my scout group, my sister and my father (we are going on service to help on the technique aspect of the event). Almost always our summers are like this, we go to camp to Picarquín or wherever the event is taking place, going in service, because we love to do this for the kids and look how they enjoy the activity, that’s why the event exists in first place, for them. This event will be between January 13 th and January 20 th week. When the National Adventure have fi...

Post 6: Postgraduate Studies

Like I have wrote in the previous post, my Ideal post graduate studies after I finish the public administration career, are a Master degree on Administrative Law and Public Management. The true is that I don´t expect to study on the outside, so, recently I have checked which university on Chile imparts a Master like that, and comparing the options, the post graduate studies that have a curriculum most similar to what I am looking for, are the one on Alberto Hurtado University which is directed to lawyers and other kind of professionals that are associated or interested on Public Administration and want to understand it’s operation through the administrative framework and to know how it has evolved with the mutations on public system. I am very interested, because, the classes are on afternoon, what allow me to keep my studies if I am working at the moment I decide to start with it, and also, like I have point out previously the last week, my dream is to work on the Comptroller Gene...

Post 5: My Future Job

When someone ask me about what kind job I would like to have after I finish my studies of Public Administration, I always say that I'd like to work on The Office of the Comptroller General of The Republic, that's was always the plan when I decided study this career: work on Comptroller and oversee the government bodies, like  Ministries, under-secretariats, public enterprises created by law, municipal corporations, universities, hospitals, regional ministerial secretariats, and others, helping to shrink the corruption. I figure that I will work on an office, making reports, cheking Comptroller's opinions, working with lawyers and others public administrators, and sometimes, going out to do the accountability of the public bodies and who recieve the public funds in each entity. I don't think that it demands too much traveling out of Chile. About the salary, I don't know exactly how much it is, but, on curriculum vitae format that they have on the Comptroller we...

POST 4: Favorite Food

Hello sweeties, today i will talk about a topic that everyone loves: our favorite food!! Sometimes is very hard to choose between several dishes, because they are so delicious!! But there is a plate that always will be in my heart (and in my stomach ha ha): THE LASAGNA. Just think about the taste of Bolognese sauce, the cheese, the onion, the paste, all of that in just one spoonful. I love Lasagna, pasta and the italian food in general. Unfortunately I don't have the knowledge to cook that succulent food :( I just know to cook the typical dishes like eggs, mash, meat, and other simple recipes. Actually, when I have to eat for lunch at the university, I use to buy the everyday menú at restaurants like "Los Magnificos", "Alberto's" and "Té Para Tres" with Junaeb Card, or bring food from my residence (what I pay monthly includes all daily meals, but if I carry food to University i have to eat the same food of the yesterday's dinner for lunch...

POST 3: My Favorite Film

Hello sweeties!! Today I will talk about the seventh art: the cinema world. Actually I use to watch every kind of movie, but my favourites are musicals like "The Sound of Music", "Mary Poppins", "La la land", "High School Musical", and some Disney Movies, and others, but my favorite one is, and always will be Hairspray, because, besides the wonderful soundtrack and fantastic choreographies, the plot is based on the fight against racism during the sixties and how a group of adolescents face it with music. Also, recently, I saw "Coco" again, one of my favorite animated movies. The film's plot is about a kid called Miguel, who is looking for the way to reach his dream: being a musician, in the adventure, he will meet diferent members of his family on the world of the dead, who, besides will tell him about his family past, also will remember him how important the family is.  I really recommend it, because it's a beautiful tri...

Post 2 - THE BEST CONCERT EVER

Hello everybody!! Do you like concerts? I love them, it’s an unforgettable and special experience, is the chance you can feel your favorite music to the bones. Always when someone ask for my favorite concert I remember Ed Sheeran’s one.   This event took place on May 15 th in Movistar Arena, Santiago, my father accompanied me to the place because the concert started late and we were far away from home. I was so nervous!! Ed Sheeran was my idol since my 13 years old, he was born in february 17 th 1991, on Halifax, West Yorkshire, England, is a songwriter (he had wrote songs to several famous artists like Justin Bieber and One Direction), that make music (which precisely earned him multiple awards like Ivor Novello Award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically in 2012 and a Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album in 2018) mostly about topics like social critics (and that’s why caught my attention in first place), love and histories about his own life,   I have loved his music since th...

Post 1 - A Country I'd Like To Visit

Hi everybody!! Today I’ll talk about my favorite place in the world, and the place I’d   like to live someday: Mendoza, a beautiful city that is located in Argentina. I’ve only went there once, with my parents and my little sister. I remember we visit the wine route, the zoo (wherein i took a picture with a monkey), the aquarium,  and also we ate delicious food, like roasts, pasta (pizza, spaghetti and others) mostly prepared with multiple types of cheese, also we ate chocolate made in Mendoza filled with different flavors, croissant to breakfast (in Argentina people eat that instead of bread), and the soft drinks like, 7up, Pepsi and Sprite taste different, and even better, than in Chile. The food is delicious, and they respect their own times to enjoy it, so, every day between 14 – 16 hours, the stores, restaurants use to close to have lunch and take a nap then. Maybe it’s sounds hilarious, but It’s true, and in my opinion is the best choice that they could do, who...

PRACTICE POST - PERSONAL INFORMATION ON INTERNET

Hello everybody!! Today we will talk about the internet and all the dangers that implies. Have you ever wondered about who is on the other side of the screen viewing your facebook profile, reading the truth behind your tweets, clicking "like" on your instagram photos or even who's actually reading this blog? The reality is that we have no idea if the people we talk online are who pretends to be.   Personally, i like   Facebook or Instagram because they are easiest and quickest to use and share pictures, memes and our everyday life, but, i don't add people that i have never met in person and I don't share my information to everybody, barely my name and my profile picture. I protect my Social Media, because I think that is a funny place to share and have a good time with friends, family and those we love, not with strangers who can use your information, your photos, your posts inappropriately to finally hurt you.  In recent times, Social Media has b...
