POST 8: SUMMER PLANS

I’m really excited because summer is coming! I have so many plans, even when this holiday will be shorter than other years for the sake of our grades and exams (we just have half of January and all February to rest of an exhausting semester). Whatever, everybody is going to beach, to another country, to the north, the south, to the nearest pool, but my first plan to this summer is to go camping on the Scout National Event called Adventure for Raiders (an activity made for young people around 15 - 17 years old) with my scout group, my sister and my father (we are going on service to help on the technique aspect of the event). Almost always our summers are like this, we go to camp to Picarquín or wherever the event is taking place, going in service, because we love to do this for the kids and look how they enjoy the activity, that’s why the event exists in first place, for them. This event will be between January 13th and January 20th week.

When the National Adventure have finished I hope that I could go to Pichilemu with my family, but also I think that is a difficult idea to realize because my parents don’t have vacations this year and I don’t know who can join my sister and me to going to the beach (my mother is denied to leave us on our own). However, come hell or high water I will spend time with my sister on home, because I miss her during the university year, and this time is her time to go on her own way (her dream is study Geology on Austral University, localized on Valdivia, that’s so far away from me!!).

And what’s about your summer plans? :)

POST 10 >> ENGLISH LANGUAGE CHALLENGES

When I started to learn about English on the school days, I never would have thought the level that I will reach. But, I also think that the school’s lessons were too boring, all the people sitting around a teacher just listening about “how this word supposed to be pronounced” isn’t the best teaching method. The English classes on university were other thing, I think that write blogs was an amazing thing, also the days we were on the classroom doing work-sheets and interacting constantly with the classmates and the teacher, speaking English each class, because it doesn’t was just looking and writing what was on the board, it was apply English in everything, and it really make us to use our head. I also think that, even if I have reached a high level of English I have to keep practicing, especially on my speaking skills and expand my vocabulary, because it always have delay my progress on the language learning, so I have planned practice every day a little with my sister, who ...

Gering-ding-ding-ding-dingeringeding! Gering-ding-ding-ding-dingeringeding!" Wa-pa-pa-pa-pa-pa-pow! Wa-pa-pa-pa-pa-pa-pow!" Hatee-hatee-hatee-ho! Hatee-hatee-hatee-ho!" Tchoff-tchoff-tchoffo-tchoffo-tchoff! Joff-tchoff-tchoffo-tchoffo-tchoff!" and "Wa-pa-pa-pa-pa-pa-pow! and also "Hatee-hatee-hatee-ho! ans finally   "Joff-tchoff-tchoffo-tchoffo-tchoff!

Post 5: My Future Job

When someone ask me about what kind job I would like to have after I finish my studies of Public Administration, I always say that I'd like to work on The Office of the Comptroller General of The Republic, that's was always the plan when I decided study this career: work on Comptroller and oversee the government bodies, like  Ministries, under-secretariats, public enterprises created by law, municipal corporations, universities, hospitals, regional ministerial secretariats, and others, helping to shrink the corruption. I figure that I will work on an office, making reports, cheking Comptroller's opinions, working with lawyers and others public administrators, and sometimes, going out to do the accountability of the public bodies and who recieve the public funds in each entity. I don't think that it demands too much traveling out of Chile. About the salary, I don't know exactly how much it is, but, on curriculum vitae format that they have on the Comptroller we...
